Perfecting the Pout

Lip injections, by far one of the most popular and sought after beauty crazes amongst many in the past few years. Although this treatment is somewhat timeless and has been seen on some of the most glamorous celebrities, it seems to have blown up by none other than the Kardashian family, especially Kylie who seems to have created a lip frenzy around the globe, but many people trying to achieve this look will go in to it blindly, not knowing what look would be best suited for them and in turn taking the risk of going way overboard.

...That is why I want to talk about my experience at Sadé Carley and how I realised that less is sometimes more. I know many people have imperfections that they would like to alter and mine just so happened to be my uneven lips. Working with the lovely asthetics therapist she talked me through what she would be doing to give me a symmetrical, natural yet noticeable pout. The procedure is all quite exciting (especially if you haven't used numbing cream on your mouth before) and the therapist made me feel comfortable and relaxed.

I had 100ml of filler injected in to my lips, the treatment was quick and there was only a slight pain when the needle was inserted in and around the cupid's bow due to that area being so sensitive, other than that is was easy and 100% manageable. Subtle swelling and bruising is to be expected after the treatment, but not to worry that gradually disappeared over the period of two days. Here is a before and after of my lips:

Bear in mind, any make up you have on and around your lips will have to be removed before the procedure, your lips are then wiped over with an antiseptic wipe and then the numbing cream will be applied 30 minutes before the treatment.

Overall I had an enjoyable and relaxed experience at Sadé Carley, and I am happy with my treatment as a whole, I left feeling happy and confident and I am totally in love with my new lips!
